After walking over to H Street Country Club for dinner a few weeks ago, I have just been itching to photograph a couple there. The bold colors and designs and fantastic decorations are just so much fun! So when Melissa & Mitch agreed to my suggestion of starting for a drink there during their engagement session, I was so excited! After some great drinks, we headed to this really cool old Firehouse that hasn’t been in use for decades. Then we went to Stanton Park and looped down by the Capitol and around to Union Station – phew! It was a chilly evening, but Melissa & Mitch were great sports for all of it and I hope they had as much fun as I did!

Melissa & Mitch brought their absolutely adorable English Bulldog, Lola, along for the outdoor portion. She was such a ham, I loved it!

There is this great old firehouse on Maryland Ave near H Street in NE DC. It hasn’t been in use for decades and it made a great backdrop for these shots. I hear they’re talking about turning it into condos. I want to turn it into a studio – I just need to win the lottery first so I can afford to renovate it.

I love this shot by Union Station with the cars whizzing by!

Melissa & Mitch are planning a destination wedding in some sort of paradise – I hope it’s every bit as beautiful as it sounds!
A couple weeks ago, I was very lucky to shoot with the amazing Chris Moseley, of Dallas, Texas, at an absolutely stunning destination wedding in West Palm Beach, Florida. Meg & Patrick were married at The Mar-a-Lago Club, which is just dripping with historic beauty. I have been to few places as gorgeous as Mar-a-Lago and it was well worth the trip! Meg & Patrick were as dazzling as their surroundings and relished every moment of their wedding day!
I had a tough time choosing my favorite images, so hope you enjoy all the details!

With a cocktail hour like this, I just had to post a few images!

Mar-a-Lago is even more gorgeous as the sun sets behind it!

The reception decor was absolutely inspired! I loved the lighting – perfect!

And yes, Donald Trump did indeed make an appearance….

…….these Dallas folk know how to throw a party!

I just love this series – Meg’s friend grabbed her for a dance and swung her around in the air – check out the crowd reactions!

Towards the end of the night, Meg showed off her singing talents by joining in “We Are Family” with her sisters on stage!

No better way to make an exit than through a shower of rose petals with a huge smile on your face!

Studio Juno was just profiled on the best neighborhood blog, “The Hill is Home!” I’m very excited to be so famous…..well, at least in my surrounding neighborhood. Check it out when you get a chance – and also, make sure to bookmark this blog – it’s a great source for local goings-on!

For my own wedding, my bouquet was made completely of Lillies of the Valley. They’re my favorite flower – I love how delicate they are and it always amazes me that such a tiny little flower can emit such a wonderful and powerful fragrance! My mom is quite the gardner and has fields of these growing at her house in Indiana. She’s visiting DC right now and brought some with her. I took a few minutes to experiment with some photographs of them, seeing how they look from different angles – just for kicks. Hope everyone is having a lovely day!

I’ve lived in DC for 12 years and I have never spent as much time among the cherry blossoms as I did with Kelly & Dan last week for their engagement session. And you know what? I can see why people flock to DC by the bajillions to see them!
We thought we’d be clever and avoid the crowds downtown by going to a gorgeous neighborhood in Bethesda, where the cherry blossom trees are amazing and arch across all the roads. Well….about 1,000 other people had the same idea
But Kelly & Dan had a great time and were the picture of spring, goofing around and laughing together and having an awesome time just hanging out. I hope we have as gorgeous a day for their wedding at Sequoia in October!

We headed back to Kelly & Dan’s condo building in Washington DC for the rest of the shoot – the grounds and woods there are gorgeous!
