There’s just one perfect word to describe Faye + Henry’s wedding day: beautiful. In every sense. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect and everything went off without a hitch! It was just a simple, wonderful and gorgeous day. Faye + Henry have wonderful families who had such a great time taking pictures, giving lots of toasts and reveling in Faye + Henry’s happiness – it was wonderful to be a part of such a fantastic day!

Big thank you to Dana for these great shots of the guys getting ready!

Loved the cake topper!! It was a custom-made tiny version of Henry + Faye wearing Caps jerseys!

Once the dance floor opened, Faye changed into this gorgeous, plum-colored, floor-length, fabulous gown!

Anyone who knows me well knows that I am obsessed with boats and especially sailing. I don’t actually really know how to sail, but anytime I see sailboats or container ships, I get so excited and start blabbering about how one day I’m going to sell everything I own and go live on a boat. These outburts are generally met with a fair amount of eye rolling. But I can’t help it, there’s just something about wide open skies combined with salt water and wind that just gets right to my core! So when I went out to the bay to meet with Cristin + Derek before their wedding, I couldn’t help but get SO excited about being near the water all day and getting to cross the bay bridge multiple times in one day! And Cristin + Derek are such sweet and fun people and the day was so gorgeous – how could we not love this wedding! And wait till you see all the details – everything was so perfect!

Thanks to Dana Morgan, my second photographer, for the shots of the guys getting ready!

I loved this little detail – a creative way for the ring bearer to announce to the guests what comes next!

We all headed to the Annapolis harbor for some fun shots and were surprised to find a Corvette show going on!

What a great remembrance for Cristin + Derek to have from their wedding. Derek made these Adirondack chairs with his grandfather and they had all their guests write little messages on them!

There’s something I love about this cute beer shot of Dana’s!

In lieu of a speech, Derek’s brother sang a really hilarious song about Cristin + Derek that he wrote himself

Yay for candy bars!

I must warn you before you look at this post – prepare yourself from some extra special silliness! Andrea & Chris are really awesome people – they love to laugh and goof around and just have a really fantastic time with each other. Our session just kept on going and they never ran out of energy or delight in each other – it was so much fun!
Andrea and Chris will be getting married on New Year’s Eve in Annapolis, so we headed to the water for their engagement session and got a few fun New Year’s Eve – style shots for their Save the Dates! Can’t wait for the big day at Governer Calvert House!

I just loved this solitary moment with Andrea watching out on the traffic.

Sometimes you don’t realize how much you need some fresh air until you’re out in it, breathing it and loving it! Alicia + Josh’s engagement session last week at Wye Island on the Eastern Shore of Maryland was like a vacation. The weather was perfect, the sun was shining, the leaves were gorgeous and we even saw a bunch of pheasants and a fox – extra bonus!
These two lovebirds are lucky enough to live out near this paradise by the bay – they love the woods and water and it was important to them to have their engagement photography session in a place that was meaningful to them. Conservation of the Chesapeake Bay is something they both work towards and they’ll be celebrating their “green” wedding next summer at the Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center. I’m personally hoping they’ll bring their two labs to the wedding so I get to meet them! Alicia organized everything perfectly and came prepared with a cozy blanket and hot chocolate for their fun, organic and woodsy engagement session.

The sound of the bay waters lapping against the shore by this picnic table were incredibly soothing – I’m definitely coming back here again!

I love that you can see the steam coming from their mugs – makes me feel cozy

The light was absolutely perfect as the sun sank behind the trees….

Sylvia is full of artistic creativity and whenever we talked about her wedding, I got more and more excited to see all the interesting and unique details she was planning to put together. When she and Tim got married last weekend, everything looked absolutely perfect! Their cocktails and reception at Camp Letts in Edgewater, Maryland, were so fresh and colorful – everything loved about summer was captured in one perfect evening.
Sylvia designed her dress and had it custom made – it was stunning on her!

Sylvia’s sister made all the flower arrangements and floral decorations – there were amazing, I am so impressed!

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Crofton is really gorgeous – loved the stained glass!

Tim was definitely holding back tears as he watched Sylvia come down the aisle.

Sylvia made these signs particularly for this shot – these two are so cute

How adorable are these cake toppers?!

This crew knew how to party!

Love this last shot of the night!
