I thought Meredith & Matt really deserved to have a beautiful wedding day given the bravery of choosing a mid-November date. So when the big day dawned and the weather was unseasonably gorgeous, I felt so happy for them! Meredith & Matt’s wedding was tinged with a beautiful vibrant shade of pink, which gave everything a wonderfully celebratory feel. Their reception at The Fairfax at Embassy Row Hotel near Dupont Circle was so much fun – we were thrilled to be a part of it!

Faith and Aaron are just about the most easy-going and all-around friendly people you’ll ever meet! They wanted their wedding to be fun, easy and relaxed – just a memorable and beautiful get-together with their family and friends. Hendry House in Arlington VA was the perfect location for just that atmosphere. The pre-ceremony cocktail hour complete with lawn games followed by a laid-back reception with barbecue from Rockland’s and a pie bar for dessert helped create the perfect setting. Faith and Aaron’s joie de vivre was infectious and combined with the absolutely perfect weather, their wedding day was unforgettable!

After the ceremony, Faith had a surprise when she took a closer look at her wedding ring and discovered that Aaron had secretly had them engraved with each others’ names an their wedding date.

Dana and I had so much fun photographing Ellie & Zach’s wedding recently. These two were so at ease with each other that photographing them just seemed effortless. When it was time for their portraits, they just relaxed and their love for one another was so completely clear – it made our job so easy! And Ellie was so sweet – it’s clear how much her family and friends adore her – she had this huge smile on her face the entire day and the room would just light up when she entered. Congratulations to you both and we hope your honeymoon was fantastic!

Loved these shoes!

How cute is this charm on Ellie’s bouquet? Her friend had it made special for her wedding day – what a great gift!

St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Arlington was a beautiful spot for their ceremony.

These next couple photos were taken in the lobby of The Mason Inn, where the reception was held. It was a beautiful venue!

They played a slideshow of photos of Ellie & Zach growing up and the reactions from friends and family as they watched were just so much fun to see!

Ellie & her dad….love it!

And Zach and his mom were so sweet together!

Ed Witles of The Elegant DJ did an awesome job of packing that dance floor!

Love this parting shot in front of the Inn!

Laura & Drew planned such a gorgeous wedding in the mountains of western Maryland, anticipating spectacular fall foliage and just enough nip in the air to get everyone excited and ready for hot cider – I couldn’t wait! So when the weather turned out very cold (36 degrees!!!) and rainy, we were all a bit disappointed. But Laura & Drew are such warm and cheerful people and their happiness was enough to put a smile on everyone’s face!

Laura’s groomswoman, Alicia, made this gorgeous necklace for her to wear…

….and her mom made her veil!
I love how it took such a group to fasten the back of Laura’s dress!
Gorgeous!
These two are so smitten
I love it when couples are willing to troop into fields for some fun shots!
The ceremony was at a charming and warm little church in Oakland, MD
After the ceremony, Laura & Drew climbed a narrow little staircase to ring the church bells. They had a moment to themselves before exiting through the church and the arch of swords!
Their friends were kind enough to decorate Laura & Drew’s car with “just married” signs and plenty of streamers and glowing stars – it was so cute!
And on to the reception at
Wisp Ski Resort in McHenry, MD. Everything was so festive and beautiful!
They had a really great swing band –
The Swing Machine out of Fairfax, VA – they were fantastic!
And they really got everyone going!
And by the end of the evening, all that rain became worth the trouble when it turned into snow.
Congratulations guys!
