Sharee is a fellow Hill resident who recently wrote about Studio Juno on The Hill is Home, which is a fantastic blog about everything Hill related – check it out! So recently, I had the opportunity to get to know Sharee & her husband, Tom, during a photography session on their 10th wedding anniversary. I say what better way to spend such an important anniversary than cracking open a bottle of champagne from France and heading out for an anniversary photography session! Sharee & Tom were so much fun and I enjoyed every minute. We spent some time at Upper Senate Park and then headed over to one of my favorite locations, the Franciscan Monastery in NE DC.

Congrats guys! I hope Scott and I are as happy as you two when we celebrate our 10th!
A couple weeks ago, I was very lucky to shoot with the amazing Chris Moseley, of Dallas, Texas, at an absolutely stunning destination wedding in West Palm Beach, Florida. Meg & Patrick were married at The Mar-a-Lago Club, which is just dripping with historic beauty. I have been to few places as gorgeous as Mar-a-Lago and it was well worth the trip! Meg & Patrick were as dazzling as their surroundings and relished every moment of their wedding day!
I had a tough time choosing my favorite images, so hope you enjoy all the details!

With a cocktail hour like this, I just had to post a few images!

Mar-a-Lago is even more gorgeous as the sun sets behind it!

The reception decor was absolutely inspired! I loved the lighting – perfect!

And yes, Donald Trump did indeed make an appearance….

…….these Dallas folk know how to throw a party!

I just love this series – Meg’s friend grabbed her for a dance and swung her around in the air – check out the crowd reactions!

Towards the end of the night, Meg showed off her singing talents by joining in “We Are Family” with her sisters on stage!

No better way to make an exit than through a shower of rose petals with a huge smile on your face!

Here’s another 2009 wedding! I second shot this one with the oh-so-fabulous Kelsey of KThompson Photography (I’m not kidding, she really IS fabulous!). Sarah & Nick got married in a blizzard in December – little did we know that the snowpocalypse then was destined to be dwarfed by the snowmaggedon to come in February! Sarah & Nick wanted to have a Christmas themed wedding and so the snow actually couldn’t have been more appropriate. And, may I take this moment to mention how fantastically my little Prius managed the insane amount of snow – yay Prius!
The ceremony at St. Matthew’s Cathedral was so gorgeous and the reception at the Carnegie Institute was a blast! Since there were so many images I liked from the first half of this wedding, I just stuck to that.

Who knew how artful and gorgeous the underside of a dress could be! It’s amazing what you discover while lying on the floor!

This shot makes me wish I’d gotten my camera out a little more often during all this snow!

The cathedral was fantastic and gorgeous from every angle!

They had only a moment to themselves in a back room before their wedding party came in and cheered and congratulated them…

Love all the little details at the reception!

I’ve been saving up a few of the weddings that I shot this fall to blog on the new website. Well, the new website is here and so this is the first of a couple weddings yet to be blogged!
Patrick and Ioli were married on Halloween – how cool is that?! I was absolutely in love with every part of their wedding – from Ioli’s amazingly gorgeous hair & makeup and her fantastic dress and jewelry, to the unique and artistic flowers and details , to the spectacular Saint Sophia Cathedral in NW DC to the dazzling reception at Halcyon House in Georgetown – my head was spinning from all the fabulousity!
I second shot Patrick & Ioli’s wedding with Kelsey, of kthompson photography and we had a blast together, as always!

Aren’t they DIVINE!?

LOVE these gorgeous and simple little yellow orchids at the reception!

And of course, for a Halloween wedding, it’s only appropriate to have a few fun costumes!

The Greek dances were fantastic! You couldn’t help but get swept up in the festivity of it all!

As the night wore on, everyone really got into it – I love this shot of Patrick & Ioli just having the time of their lives!

Laura & Drew planned such a gorgeous wedding in the mountains of western Maryland, anticipating spectacular fall foliage and just enough nip in the air to get everyone excited and ready for hot cider – I couldn’t wait! So when the weather turned out very cold (36 degrees!!!) and rainy, we were all a bit disappointed. But Laura & Drew are such warm and cheerful people and their happiness was enough to put a smile on everyone’s face!

Laura’s groomswoman, Alicia, made this gorgeous necklace for her to wear…

….and her mom made her veil!
I love how it took such a group to fasten the back of Laura’s dress!
Gorgeous!
These two are so smitten
I love it when couples are willing to troop into fields for some fun shots!
The ceremony was at a charming and warm little church in Oakland, MD
After the ceremony, Laura & Drew climbed a narrow little staircase to ring the church bells. They had a moment to themselves before exiting through the church and the arch of swords!
Their friends were kind enough to decorate Laura & Drew’s car with “just married” signs and plenty of streamers and glowing stars – it was so cute!
And on to the reception at
Wisp Ski Resort in McHenry, MD. Everything was so festive and beautiful!
They had a really great swing band –
The Swing Machine out of Fairfax, VA – they were fantastic!
And they really got everyone going!
And by the end of the evening, all that rain became worth the trouble when it turned into snow.
Congratulations guys!
