Last weekend, amidst all the heat and humidity, I got to spend the morning at the National Arboretum with little Helene, who has the happiest, sunniest smile of all the little girls in the world! I hadn’t seen Helene and her parents since Helene’s six month pictures, which was well over a year ago. I can’t even believe how big she is now and still just as full of smiles. Helene is a busy girl and wanted to explore everything and quickly. She is especially a fan of steps and loves to go up and down and up and down. We had so much fun! This first shot was taken towards the end, but I love it so much, I had to start with it!

It was a warm Sunday morning this past weekend when I met Daisy & Hazel and their parents at the National Cathedral in Washington, DC for their portrait session. Their family won my session at a charitable auction for Amazing Life Games, a school in DC, and I was delighted to photograph such a sweet and wonderful family! Daisy & Hazel are just the silliest, goofiest little girls and we had a great time exploring the grounds with their dolls and their parents and enjoying the sunshine.

Sharee is a fellow Hill resident who recently wrote about Studio Juno on The Hill is Home, which is a fantastic blog about everything Hill related – check it out! So recently, I had the opportunity to get to know Sharee & her husband, Tom, during a photography session on their 10th wedding anniversary. I say what better way to spend such an important anniversary than cracking open a bottle of champagne from France and heading out for an anniversary photography session! Sharee & Tom were so much fun and I enjoyed every minute. We spent some time at Upper Senate Park and then headed over to one of my favorite locations, the Franciscan Monastery in NE DC.

Congrats guys! I hope Scott and I are as happy as you two when we celebrate our 10th!
Reyna & Matt’s wedding at Seqouia is coming up so soon! So we hurried out to Georgetown in DC at the first sign of spring weather and got some great shots! Despite a bit of camera shyness, these two had a great time together and even, at times, might have forgotten about the lens for a moment or two.
We started off for a couple of drinks at Peacock Cafe – everyone there was so nice!

Reyna loves the cable tracks on O St, so we had a little fun around there. We may have seemed a bit foolish when we were asking strangers on the street to shine their car lights toward the camera, but hey, it’s all about the shot, right?!

As dusk fell, the streetlamps came on and cast this beautiful yellow glow on everything – with the first bit of warm weather we had, it was really a nice evening to be outside!

Vivian turned one year old in December and I was the lucky photographer who got to be there for it! I can’t believe how much this little girl has grown up from her 3-month and 8-month shoots! Vivan is just full of giggles and laughs and she entertains me endlessly! I can’t help but giggle from behind the camera – she is so adorable!
I had to start with this last shot, since it’s my favorite!

When Vivian changed into this outfit, she was so silly – she started doing this funny little scooting dance along the floor – she was clearly very amused!

During snack time, Viv had a very tart apple – look at her cute face!!

There’s nothing like a mom to make things better…

WALKING!!

Vivian – it’s been such a joy to get to watch you grow up! I can’t wait for our next session!
