Why Studio Juno?
Because it makes you want to know more. Because Juno is a Roman goddess of marriage. Because when you hear it, you imagine a colorful, fun, creative and urban experience – plenty of clean space highlighted by pops of intensity and excitement! Because we’re not like everyone else. Because we believe that images are about more than just a historical record or the artistry of the creator.
What is your style?
Our style with clients is a perfect blend of professional, laid-back and casual. On a shoot, first and foremost, we like to have fun and make sure our clients are having a great time! We strive to make you comfortable in front of the camera so you can be yourselves – laugh, have a good time, tickle your kids and be a family! Our images have been called photojournalistic, bright and cheerful, intensely colorful, full of energy and emotion. They are a mixture of many things and are uniquely Juno!
Do you pose us?
Not really. While we are willing to offer some posed shots if you have something particular in mind, we find that the most precious and memorable photographs are of those moments that are completely natural and candid. We always, however, make a point to get at least one posed family formal during every session.
We do our very best to make you and your family completely comfortable in front of the camera and absolutely are not shy about playing peek-a-book with babies, making monkey noises for toddlers and playing Candyland with your daughter while we sneak shots of your camera-shy son! So sit back, relax and enjoy yourself! And please, don’t laugh at the photographer’s antics until she leaves – or at least laugh heartily, it makes for better pictures!
What about editing?
There is so much room for creativity using gobs of editing software. All images have a minimum of minor cropping, color saturation, black & white conversion, contrast adjustment, etc. It takes us about two to three weeks to deliver a full portrait gallery.
We want you to love your images and we take care to make them look just right! Full retouching is included for any large-sized print or album orders.
How far will you travel?
As far as you want us to! The further the better! We are adventure-seekers in every sense of the phrase and challenge you to find a place we won’t go! Travel up to forty miles from Washington, DC is included in every portrait collection. But seriously, we are happy to hike our equipment to the top of a mountain for you, just let us know!

Should you decide to hire us (yay!), we’ll sign an agreement and get a retainer to book your date. Dates aren’t reserved until final booking, so be sure to let us know!
A pre-session consultation, in person if you’re local, or over the phone if you’re far away, is included with every portrait collection and will be scheduled, when time allows, about one to two weeks prior to your session. We can’t wait to hear from you and meet your family!
